5.1. When you register for an account, send a booking confirmation to our travel service or make a booking through our services, you will be given access to our travel service where we collect your travel data to create and maintain your itineraries. If you send us booking confirmation emails directly, you authorize us to automatically or manually analyze these emails and add the information you provide, along with other information we collect, to your Trips account (including storing a copy of the original email in your Trips account). When you sign up for email synchronization with our Trips service, you authorize us to access the emails in the email accounts you have connected to Trips, periodically review those emails to identify those that are booking confirmations that we can import into our Trips service, automatically or manually analyze those emails, and add the information we collect to your Trips account (including storing a copy of the original email in your Trips account). To the extent permitted by our email synchronization partners, we use the information in your Trips account to show you more relevant search results (e.g., accommodations you have previously booked) or to provide you with statistics about your trips, and we may use this information for marketing communications as described above. If you use or have itineraries as part of our travel service, you can send or grant access to your itinerary to a person of your choice. Your itinerary may contain sufficient details (e.g. booking reference codes) to allow the recipient to cancel or amend your booking, check in, etc.

5.2. You should only share your itinerary with people you trust. Answers to frequently asked questions can be found on the Getting started with Trips page and in our detailed Trips FAQ. Visit your account page to update your account settings and preferences. If you publish your travel plan on publicly accessible websites (such as Facebook), others can collect and use this information.

5.3. Electronic communication. In accordance with the purposes set out above and to the extent permitted by applicable law, we may communicate with you electronically, such as by email, text messages or mobile push notifications, in order to

We may disclose or transfer your information to third parties if we sell, transfer, divest or sell all or a portion of our business to another company in connection with or during the negotiation of a merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, transaction or proceeding.

We may disclose your information to third parties when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, the integrity of the Services, personal safety or the interests of you or others, or to detect, prevent and/or otherwise address fraud, risk management, security or technical issues.
